Atletico Madrid player heading to EPL, Newcastle or Arsenal
It is still uncertain where he would be heading to but it has been revealed that Atletico Madrid player Gelson Martins will be heading to the English Premier League before the end of this winter transfer window, according to Di Marzio.
Both Arsenal and Newcastle have been reported to have indicated interest in Gelson Martins in addition to submitting a bid for him.
The reports add that one of the bids has been accepted and the player is now ready for a move. It is, therefore, most clear if the race has been won by the Newcastle team or the North London side.
A report claimed that French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have entered the race for Gelson Martins but he is heading to the English League if reported in the press are anything to go by.
Suggestions are that the star winger has got big quality in terms of his play and impact which will make him a good fit for the Premier League.
Arsenal are believed to be favourite in the race as they have got more chances of European football than Newcastle which is a factor that would be considered by the player in making his choice known.
