Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp needs to bring in a new safe hand to replace current No1 Loris Karius, according to club legend Jason McAteer.
Liverpool linked with move for new goalkeeper
Liverpool have been constantly linked with a swoop for a new goalie in the 2018 summer window.
The Merseyside club have made Karius their No 1 goalkeeper over the last few months after replacing Belgium international Simon Mignolet in the starting eleven.
The Germany Under-21 international goalkeeper has steadily improved his game over the last few months since becoming No 1.
However, Karius made two costly mistakes in the Reds 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final last Saturday.
The team have been rumoured with interests in Roma goalie Alisson following his brilliant season at the Serie A club.
Liverpool keen on England star
Liverpool have also been connected with Stoke City and England goalkeeper Jack Butland ahead of the coming season.
Former Liverpool star McAteer feels Liverpool need a new safe hand in the summer window.
The Reds haven’t won the English topflight League title but will be hoping to challenge Manchester City next season.
They signed Dutch international Virgil van Dijk in a £75million transfer deal from Southampton in the winter transfer window.
