Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp needs to bring in a new safe hand to replace current No1 Loris Karius, according to club legend Jason McAteer.

However, Karius made two costly mistakes in the Reds 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final last Saturday.

The team have been rumoured with interests in Roma goalie Alisson following his brilliant season at the Serie A club.

The Reds haven’t won the English topflight League title but will be hoping to challenge Manchester City next season.

They signed Dutch international Virgil van Dijk in a £75million transfer deal from Southampton in the winter transfer window.
