Deal ON!!! United, Chelsea battle for Cavani
It has been claimed that French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain star striker Edinson Cavani is set to find a new club as he is no longer interested in staying with the Paris club.
The report suggested that the 32-year-old would be glad to have a feel of the English Premier League ahead of the coming season before he hangs his boot.
However, two English Premier League sides Man United and Chelsea have registered their interest in the Uruguay international and they are both keen to land him this summer window.
The West London outfit are in need of a No. 9 as they have suffered lack of cutting edge in their attack with French striker Olivier Giroud and Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain failing to deliver goals.
Although, the Blues are yet to have their transfer ban appeal granted there are suggestions that the attack will be their major focus should they win at Court before the summer window is opened.
Also, the Red Devils are set to part ways with Belgium international Romelu Lukaku who is reported to be unhappy at the club which means there will be a need for a replacement for him.
However, the quality and pedigree of Edison Cavani is not in doubt as he is known across Europe.
