Deal Close! Chelsea first signing could be this €100m-rated star,  despite Liverpool and Tottenham link

According to reports emanating from Portugal, Chelsea are allegedly stepping up their bid to land Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes, 23, has impressed this campaign, netting 16 goals and creating 20 chances in 53 matches in all competitions to become an important figure for the Portuguese side.

Also, that impressive form should be greatly rewarded with a place in the Portugal team for the FIFA World Cup in Russia next month, giving everyone concerned a chance to look closely at him at the very highest level.

Blues keen on Portuguese

As reported by A Bola, the Blues are trying so hard to complete the signing of the Portugal international, but it’s suggested that the Blues have made the early attempt to open talks over a possible transfer to the Bridge this summer transfer window.

It’s been suggested that it won’t be easy though, as it’s been claimed that Spurs, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid are all interested in Fernandes, who has greatly improved after an impressive playing period in the Serie A with Udinese and Sampdoria.

While in Italy, the talented player racked up over 100 matches in the Serie A between the 2013 and 2017 season.

Pricing him away from Sporting won’t be easy, as the Metro suggests earlier in the month that Fernandes has a staggering €100m buyout clause in his deal.
