Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has completely ruled out a winter transfer move for Monaco star Thomas Lemar.
The London club were linked with an offer to sign the 21-year-old French star throughout the summer transfer window, but a move for the player failed to happen.
There looks to be new rumour linking the North London club with a transfer for the forward in the coming weeks as the winter transfer window draws closer.
However, Arsene Wenger has said that he is not yet considering the players he could move to sign in January and is instead paying attention to his side’s forthcoming matches.
The French tactician, speaking at a news presser on Wednesday, replied when questioned if the Gunners will reignite a move for Lemar: “No, at the moment I [Arsene Wenger] have told you [reporters] I [Wenger] have a large team and the problem for me [Arsene Wenger] is to keep everyone [all the players] together until the season ends.
The Gunners are currently getting set for their vital encounter against rivals Manchester City in the English Premier League at The Etihad Stadium.
A victory for the North London club would have them close the gap to leaders Manchester City down to six points, with Pep’s men currently nine points ahead of Wenger’s men.
The Gunners finished fifth in the English Premier League and won the English FA Cup last campaign, beating Premier League Champion Chelsea in the final at Wembley Stadium back in May.
