Real Madrid star forward Alvaro Morata is needed at Chelsea this summer ahead of a busy campaign next season.
And according to reports in Spain, the premier league champions are preparing a huge bid to secure his service.
The Spain international scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for the Champions League winners last campaign but is desperate for a move away from the club to get more playing time.
He was heavily linked with joining Man United a few days back and appeared to be on the verge of completing the transfer. But the Old Trafford club turned their focus on Everton star forward Romelu Lukaku and are ready to bring him in for a fee of around £75million.
And according to Spanish outlet AS, Chelsea are now focusing on Alvaro once again and will make an offer of £70 Million for the Spaniard ahead of the 2017/18 season.
It was added that there is a good relationship between the English champions and the Spanish champions and could make things go very smooth in the attempt to get Morata’s signature.
If everything should go as planned, the Spain forward would be expected to sign a deal that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge for either four years or five years.
Chelsea are also said to be eyeing Italian striker Andrea Belotti and if the deal for Morata couldn’t go through, might bring in Belotti from Torino.
