Contract extension expected

According to reports, Premier League giants Manchester United had been expected to make progress with contract discussions with one of their best players, but reports suggest that no such has happened.

At a point when doubts are making the rounds over the future of Paul Pogba at the club, as reported by The Express, the last thing Manchester United fans want to read about is situations regarding another star player as things aren’t really smooth on the field either in the Premier League or performance in the UEFA Champions League during the week.

Negotiation halted

As per RMC Sport though, negotiations over a new deal with Anthony Martial have halted, as after a meeting in 2017 over the possibility of a fresh contract, it’s suggested that the team haven’t tabled an offer since and although they have an option to elongate his current contract, it runs out next year.

The 22-year-old attacker should be rest assured that the club will activate that option considering his impact this term and his room to develop further, as he’s scored 11 and made nine assists in 37 matches across all competitions to show that he is a vital part of the team.
