Woodburn set for another loan move after Sheffield United’s disappointment

Liverpool attacking midfielder Ben Woodburn is set for his second loan spell of the season as West Brom are keen on his signature.

The 19-year-old spent the early part of this term on loan at Championship side Sheffield United but it was one to forget in a hurry because he didn’t feature regularly for the team.

He was unable to make a single appearance for the team throughout last month and that forced the Reds to end his spell at the Championship side.

The Mirror are reporting that the youngster is likely to join another championship side West Brom for the concluding part of the campaign.

The Baggies are in desperate search for another quality player to replace Harvey Barnes, who was understandably recalled from his loan spell by Leicester City manager Claude Puel.

  • How Ramsey rejected transfer advice from Gareth Bale

Barnes was phenomenal for the Baggies throughout his stay at the Hawthorn Stadium, he found the back of the net in nine occasions and also had six assists in all competitions.

Having seen the Foxes recalled their impressive striker, West Brom manager Darren Moore believes the Liverpool star is the best man to fill the huge void created by Barnes’ departure.

The 19-year-old presently feature for the Reds U23 side but Klopp wants him to have regular first-team experience before the end of the season so as to prepare him for the nearest future.

As for the Baggies, they will hope the Welshman is up to the task of replacing the departed Leicester City’s lively and impressive front man.
