Emerging reports claim that Manchester United could send their young defender Regan Poole to his former side Newport County but on a loan move in this winter transfer window.
Regan Poole joined the Red Devils some four years ago as a youth layer but has failed to impress or break into the first team either under the former manager Jose Mourinho or the current interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
There is no doubt that Newport County are in need of the player they earned £100,000 from in 2015 as they struggle to find quality defenders in the team.
Although United are not willing to let Regan Poole leave on a permanent basis, he can leave on loan and return when he is ripe for first team football.
Regan Poole has had 15 appearances with Wales U21 team where he impressed but has not shown the real character of playing in the United first team.
The Old Trafford side are in need of new defenders but they have not got Regan Poole to rely on owing to his ability at the moment.
However, new arrivals are still expected at the Old Trafford this winter window with Ole Gunnar Solkjaer reported being handed financial support.
