Chelsea winger Willian has been targeted as a possible signing by French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night.

According to popular media channel Sky Sports, PSG want to sign the Brazilian international in this winter transfer window.

Willian was a subject of several bids from Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona at the start of the season but Chelsea managed to hang on to his services.

The 30-year-old has also been linked with a move to Barcelona in this winter transfer window but the Catalans have a new threat in PSG in their bid to snap up Willian.

French champions PSG see Willian as a direct replacement for the injured Neymar.

His compatriot is almost certain to miss the next ten weeks of football action after he suffered a serious foot injury in the French Cup clash with Racing Strasbourg last weekend.

Neymar will miss the UEFA Champions League last 16 ties between PSG and Premier League club Manchester United.

Apart from Willian, PSG have also tried to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil on a short-term loan deal with several reports claiming that the German World Cup winner turned down the offer from the French capital club.
