According to media reports emanating from Italy, Jose Mourinho has approved the sale of Frenchman Anthony Martial from Manchester United to Serie A side Juventus.
Lack of playing time
Italian publication Tuttosport, as cited by the Daily Express, is claiming that the Portuguese has decided to offload the 22-year-old forward this summer transfer window after his lack of regular playing opportunity this season.
As per the same story, the French youngster has become increasingly frustrated about his lack of regular playing time at Old Trafford this term and is now seeking a transfer away from this summer window.
Now, the same article is suggesting that the former Real Madrid boss has given the ‘go ahead’ to United selling Anthony Martial to the Serie A champions this summer.
However, the article also says that the stance about the player’s future beyond the summer window now rests with the Red Devils board.
Club chief want forward to stay
It is suggested in the same story that United chief Ed Woodward is a fan of Martial and that could also mean the forward will stay at the club.
Meanwhile, Jose’s side are still aiming to finish the campaign with a trophy when they lock horns with Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup final later this month.
United are second in the Premier League log as they bid to end the season as runners-up to newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City.
