There are already hints that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will feature some of the U23 players in his team that will face Southampton for the Premier League tie at the weekend.

The Red Devils are seriously battling with injury crisis with a bulk of the first team currently on the sideline. This is the reason why some U23 team members traveled with the first team for the Crystal Palace encounter.

Some U23 players including James Garner, coming from the bench, Angel Gomez, Tahith Chong, and Mason Greenwood were all in the train that made it to Selhurst Park and that could still repeat in the weekend game.

However, none of the four players were involved in the U23 game against Norwich City in Premier League Two Division which suggests that they will be getting on with the first team again.

It is understood that there is already welcoming news with Marcus Rashford expected to return back to the team while the likes of Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, and Anthony Martial are yet to return.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed confidence that he is able to deliver good results even with the absence of the senior players.
