Arsenal have been handed a major boost after French tactician Arsene Wenger disclosed that the team are yet to get a winter approach for attacker Alexis Sanchez.
According to the Sun, whilst Manchester City are keen on signing the forward, the North London club are yet to receive offers for the player, and that Alexis Sanchez’s deal with the side runs out next summer.
Talking about Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger said “We [Arsenal] have not been contacted [approached] by anyone [any suitor].”
So far this campaign, the Chilean hasn’t impressed for Wenger’s team that much, with the forward only scored seven goals and made three assists in 18 English Premier League matches.
However last term, things were different for the forward, as Alexis Sanchez netted 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 38 Premier League matches, a good record for a winger, shows why Manchester City are interested.
His overall ability has seen football fans tag the 29-year-old as one of Premier Leagues best players.
During his playing career at the Emirates Stadium, Alexis Sanchez has enjoyed a successful spell, as the forward has helped his team win three English FA Cups and one English Charity Shield since he joined in 2014.
