Manchester United legend to return to the EPL

Wayne Rooney to return to the EPL

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has been tipped to return to the English Premier League before the end of his football career.

These are the words of Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson who is surprised the former Everton player is currently playing in the MLS with DC United despite the great ability he still posses on the field.

The former England international has scored 10 goals for his side in 17 games to ensure they qualify playing in the playoffs.

Hodgson made this claim ahead of his side’s encounter against Everton with the absence of Rooney who is already off to the United States league after failing to extend his contract.

The Crystal Palace boss had appointed Rooney as his captain when in charge of the national team hence knows well the quality of the striker, describing him as a fantastic player who can score goals.

He stressed that Rooney left the Premier League too early because he still has the ability to compete at the level in the league

Admitting that the decision was made by Manchester United and Everton to let Rooney go, Hodgson said he still has the chance to have a return.
