60-year-old Man Emerges As Shock Contender To Replace Sarri At Chelsea

Ralf Rangnick has emerged as a shock contender to replace Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea according to reports coming out of the media in Germany.

The RB Leipzig boss has earned rave reviews from near and far for a great campaign in charge of the German Bundesliga outfit during the just concluded season.

Ralf Rangnick led RB Leipzig to the third position on the German Bundesliga table just behind champions Bayern Munich and runners-up Borussia Dortmund.

That feat was enough to secure a return to the Champions League stage for both Ralf Rangnick and RB Leipzig.

Apart from a third-placed finish in the league, Ralf Rangnick also led RB Leipzig to the German Cup final before they were blown away by eventual winners Bayern Munich.

The Bavarian giants won the German Cup via a 3-0 win over RB Leipzig.

Trusted German newspaper SportBild revealed that Ralf Rangnick is in the frame for the Chelsea job currently held by Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian tactician is expected to leave Chelsea this summer after just one season at Stamford Bridge with Italian champions Juventus being his likely destination.

Just like Ralf Rangnick, Sarri led Chelsea to third place in the league and also lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City on penalties before finishing the season with the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over Arsenal.
