Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema seems to be heading out of the club after a number of poor performances.
Recently, Arsenal have been overly reliant on Chilean Alexis Sanchez and German Mesut Ozil for goals, with the duo netting 32 goals and making 19 assists between them in the Premier League last campaign.
The pair have shared good understanding at times, and it looks like their bond extends to their Arsenal contracts, with the duo refusing to pen contract extensions at the club.
With Arsenal’s two biggest threats going forward on their way out of the side, the Arsenal boss is looking to the next transfer window in January as an opportunity to strengthen his side. As per reports from the Sun, the North Londoners have an initial offer for Real striker Karim Benzema rejected.
He has only managed to grab 4 goals in 14 matches, with 2 of those coming in a game against Apoel Nicosia in the UEFA Champions League. Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid have struggled a lot more than they did last campaign and currently ten points adrift Spanish La Liga leaders FC Barcelona.
The Gunners £40 million offer for Kareem Benzema was turned down by Real Madrid, with club president Florentino Perez reportedly disclosing that the figure was by far embarrassing.
