Shocker! Arsenal to tempt dazzling forward with £71m five years deal

According to the Mirror, the Gunners are ready to offer Monaco winger Thomas Lemar a £100,000-weekly five-year deal to secure his signature.

The publication claim Arsenal are hopeful that a £45million offer will convince Monaco to sell him, having already had two bids turned down.

The Mirror also reported that Lemar’s agent has held discussions with both sides and are keen on signing him, with a five-year deal on the table from the Gunners.

Arsenal are believed to have seen their last bid of around £40million turned down but have not let the French club’s stubbornness dampen their hopes of bringing the winger to the Emirates as discussion continues on the transfer.

It’s believed that the cost of the new offer on the table, including transfer fee and weekly wages spread over five years, would amount to about £71million.

The versatile winger can play on either flank or in a central attacking role; Lemar, 21, played a prominent role in the French club’s last season, which saw them win the Ligue 1 title and make it to the semi-final stage of the UEFA Champions League.

The forward in 55 matches across all competitions, scored 14 goals and assisted 17, with his impressive form drawing the attention of some suitors across Europe interested in signing him this summer.
