Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has paid tribute to Premier League giants Liverpool ahead of their Champions League clash later this week.

Luis Suarez and Barcelona will host the Reds in the first leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night before the second leg clash at Anfield next week Tuesday.

The Uruguayan international star has surprisingly not scored in the Champions League this season and he would be hoping to break his duck in the competition this season.

Luis Suarez has scored 21 league goals this term despite his barren run in the Champions League.

Barcelona have had to rely on the Champions League goals from star player Lionel Messi without the goals from Luis Suarez.

Messi is the leading goalscorer in the Champions League this term with 10 goals and he also has a very good record against English opposition.

The Argentine national team skipper has scored 24 goals in 32 appearances against clubs from England ahead of the two-legged semifinal tie with Liverpool.
