With the Champions League final getting closer and closer, Real Madrid fans are starting to get worried about the prospect of not seeing Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch against Liverpool.
However, manager Zinedine Zidane remains confident that the Portuguese international will be fit for the clash against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Ronaldo was substituted at half-time in his side’s 2-2 draw with Barca on Sunday, and it appears he has some issues on his ankle.
Barcelona scored the first goal of the game before the former Manchester United star equalised the scoreboard. However, he received a knock from Barcelona’s Gerard Pique as he pushed the ball forward into the net.
Ronaldo kept going for some time before finally succumbing to the injury and was replaced.
However, despite that the Champions League final is just a few days away, manager Zinedine Zidane is not bothered about the situation at hand.
The French boss emphasised he is not worried about the final and suggested Ronaldo will be back to full fitness before they clash with Liverpool.
Real Madrid were unable to halt Barcelona’s ‘invincible record’ this season in the La Liga.
The Camp Nou club are yet to lose a single game in the La Liga so far this term.
Real Madrid will hope they can beat Liverpool to win the Champions League trophy three times in a roll.
