In what seems like a secret move, Manchester United are reported to have approached Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri to come to take over from embattled manager Jose Mourinho, it was revealed.
There were earlier reports that the Portuguese boss will be shown the way out of the Old Trafford owing to his inability to have control over the dressing room and also to deliver results at the club.
The former Chelsea boss was also saved by the 3-2 win against Newcastle, a victory that brought calm to the heated crisis at the Old Trafford.
However latest report coming from Calciomercato, United had approached the Juventus manager to come to take over from the Portuguese but he had said no to the offer.
According to the report, Allegri was offered a three-year deal worth about £10 million which includes an attractive £232 million transfer budget to help him make needed signings at the club.
The lucrative offer was reportedly turned down by the Italian manager who was not interested in a move to England as he is loving life in Italy.
Although, the former Chelsea boss has now been assured of his stay at the Old Trafford and the management have agreed to keep faith in him to turn situations around.
