Quique Setién reveals Arsenal strikers Joel Campbell frustration at being sidelined

According to Real Betis manager Quique Setién, striker Joel Campbell is frustrated over his recent injury problems.

Joel Campbell, who is currently on loan at Spanish side Real Betis, sustained a knee problem over the last summer that ruled him out for some months. When the striker eventually returned to first-team duty with Real Betis, it was a dramatic return, netting one goal, providing an assist and creating a third in 13 minutes.

But before he completed 90 minutes in the Spanish league for his loan side, the forward got injured once again, this time spraining his ankle, according to reports. Apparently, he was nursing some discomfort in the same knee left over from last summer surgery, adding to his challengers.

If there still remains any pain in Joel’s knee as claimed by his coach Setién, then he is right to state that the best way to handle the situation is to give the affected area enough time.

There’s absolutely no point rushing the striker back to football action when the ankle injury clears up if the knee problem is just going to lead to more injuries a week after.

But with the striker performing pretty well when fit enough, it must be tempting to play him.
