How West Ham cheated Arsenal in Suarez race

Denis Suarez

English Premier League outfit Arsenal have been cheated by their London rivals West Ham United in the race for Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona player Denis Suarez.

West Ham United have gone ahead of the Gunners to table a £20 million asking price for the player, according to reports from The Sun with Arsenal not having the ability to spend that big this winter window.

The Gunners are financially limited in this winter window and their London rivals West Ham have taken advantage of the situation to win the race for the player.

However, Barcelona are left in a mix as they are willing to take the £20 million from West Ham but Denis Suarez will not be willing to move that direction knowing he will not be guaranteed a Champions League football.

On the other hand, the North London outfit are not ready to meet with the £20 million asking price but can guarantee Denis Suarez European football next season.

This makes it a difficult situation for the Spanish giants knowing that Denis Suarez will only prefer to talk to the Gunners not minding what their offer would be by West Ham.

Meanwhile, Barcelona might have to wait until the summer as Arsenal seek to have Denis Suarez on a loan deal this winter before considering a permanent deal in the coming summer window.
