The Liverpool duo of Sadio Mane and Virgil Van Dijk have been beaten to the Premier League Player of the Month Award for February by Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero who was named the recipient on Friday.
Aguero reaped his rewards for netting seven league goals in the month of February thus helping Manchester City to four wins from four league games.
His league tally in February includes two hattricks against the London duo of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sergio Aguero hit his first treble of the month as Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-1 at home before scoring another hattrick in the 6-0 thrashing of Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

The Argentine international added another strike for the Citizens after he was responsible for the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win over West Ham United in the last league game of the month of February.
His goals have propelled Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table and ahead of Liverpool.
The Citizens have a one-point lead with nine league games to go.
Manchester City fans would be hoping that Sergio Aguero continues his good form when they entertain the Hornets in their Matchweek 30 clash on Saturday evening.
Title rivals Liverpool don’t play until Sunday when they take on Burnley at Anfield.
