The UEFA champions league for this season has commenced in style with the opening game being played yesterday.

Liverpool had welcomed French club, PSG to England as the two sides played out a tough but interesting to watch game.

In the long run, the game came to an end with 3 – 2 win in favour of the home team, Liverpool.

This became possible after a last-minute goal from Brazil star, Roberto Firmino.

The Brazil forward didn’t start for the Reds owing to an injury he sustained during the EPL match against Tottenham Hotspur.

He came from the bench to serve as a game changer for Liverpool.

However, Roberto Firmino has created a new record for himself and his now close to topping world best player and Portugal international, Cristiano Ronaldo goal record.

According to the goal records, Roberto Firmino now has a total of 11 goals in the UEFA champions league which in contrast with Ronaldo 15 goals.

However, CR7 is expected to add to his goal tonight as Juventus play their first leg in the tournament.

Apart from Roberto Firmino, Liverpool two other forwards, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are closely behind Firmino in terms of goals in the Uefa Champions league.
