Five-time European champions Liverpool are set to offer one of their young players a new contract in a bid to keep him from the claws of interested clubs.
The Reds want to secure the long-term future of young striker Bobby Duncan at the club.
The Englishman has been linked with a move to German Bundesliga sides such as Bavarian giants Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
The news of a potential contract extension was confirmed by Matt Hughes of The Times.
Bobby Duncan has been in sensational form for the Liverpool U18s since his summer move.
The 17-year-old joined the Reds from fellow Premier League title contenders Manchester City.
He has already scored 12 goals for his team.
The Bundesliga duo of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are keen to move for Bobby Duncan following the recent performances of fellow teenagers Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho in Germany.
The two English players have light up the Bundesliga this season.
Reiss Nelson is on a season-long loan deal at TSG Hoffenheim from Premier League side Arsenal, while Jadon Sancho joined Borussia Dortmund last summer on a free transfer from English champions Manchester City.
