Benfica star player Victor Lindelof arrived at Carrington for medical ahead of £30 Million Man Utd transfer.

The defender arrived the club’s training ground this morning to complete a medical ahead of joining the Old Trafford club.

The red devils announced a deal for the Sweden international on Saturday after finishing a £30m deal with Benfica.

In the past January transfer window, the Swede star came close to moving to Man United but the move failed to materialise. However, Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho remained extremely keen on signing the 22-year-old to partner Eric Bailly at the heart of the defence.

Lindelof was pictured today being driven into Manchester Utd’s training ground to undergo a medical.

Jose Mourinho’s  is expected to make an announcement later in the day and after concluding the deal will hope to move onto Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

Morata’s club Real Madrid are asking for something close to £79m for him. However, it is understood that the red devils remain hopeful of taking the Champions League winners down for a deal.

Man United finished sixth in the just concluded season but were able to get a Champions League ticket for next season following their win over Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm.
