Petr Cech believes Arsenal can beat his former team

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes his current side Arsenal can beat Premier League Champions Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners go into Sunday’s London derby clash with a less than stellar record in the league against Chelsea.

However, despite this not so impressive record, Petr Cech feels Wenger’s men have what it takes to beat his former team.

The North London club have won three of their last four matches against the Blues in all competitions.

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-0 at the Emirates last season, a result which brought out the best in Conte’s men and ultimately won them the title.

Arsenal then outplayed the Champions in the English FA Cup final, and also defeated them to win the FA Community Shield as well.

Wenger’s team are certainly capable of beating the West London club. If they replicate those two remarkable performances on Sunday afternoon, they will stand every chance of repeating it.

Unfortunately, the ongoing problem with the Gunners is that they fail to produce those types of splendid performances consistently, and are sometimes found wanting on every level when they play away from home against big teams.

If the Wenger’s men are serious about challenging for the Premier league title, they can’t afford to suffer another humiliating loss away from home.
