North London giants Arsenal seem set to lose two important players next summer window, but latest reports state that they are set to fight to prevent such a situation from happening.
Both attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil and forward Alexis Sanchez will see their respective Arsenal deal run out at the end of the current season, permitting them to leave for free.
Further, from the New Year onwards, they’ll be permitted to talk with foreign suitors to reach a pre-deal agreement, and so the Gunners are effectively about to be in a vulnerable position.
As per The Mirror, they are still keen on reaching a fresh agreement with the German, and are seriously hoping that continued negotiations could lead to a possible breakthrough with Ozil already having a deal worth £275,000-weekly on the table.
Whether that includes offering more cash remains to be discovered as the report looks to claim that the expectation is that Chilean forward Sanchez will leave the club, and so attention will focus on getting Mesut Ozil to remain at the Emirates, although it will involve a whole lot to keep him at the club.
The Germany international playmaker has made 50 assists in 129 English Premier League matches for the gunners, but his inconsistency, poor outing in big games and poor defensive stats have often led to the attacker being under fire.
