Obviously, Chelsea have one of the best squads in the English Premier League. However, it appears the manager Antonio Conte desire adding more quality to his team and is set to splash the cash in the upcoming summer.
Reports have it that the Stamford Bridge club have offered Celtic player Moussa Dembele a contract ahead of a summer move.
However (and unfortunately) Dembele turned down the Chelsea offer. It was said that the Stamford Bridge outfit met with Dembele’s representatives to discuss a deal for the French striker, and they offered him a contract worth £65,000-a-week, rising to £100,000-a-week.
The forward however rejected the move, and his reason is because he doubt he would be guaranteed first-team football at Chelsea.
The 20-year-old joined Celtic last summer from Fulham, ignoring other premier league clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham chasing him because he knew he would definitely be a starter at Celtic Park.
The talented player is enjoying a brilliant season at Celtic and he is likely to be a major transfer target this fast approaching summer. But Celtic won’t want to lose him, and they will get delighted if he should ignore Chelsea and remain put with them.
No one should blame Dembele for ignoring Chelsea, considering Michy Batshuayi’s situation at Chelsea.
Michy joined Chelsea for £33 million but hasn’t started a league game as Conte prefers Spanish forward Diego Costa as his sole stiker.
If he desire going back to the premier league, then he might consider Liverpool where he is likely to get constant first-team actions as far as he keeps delivering.
