Real Madrid would be happy to let forward Gareth Bale join Chelsea rather than Manchester United according to reports emanating from the Spanish media.
Spanish news outlet Sport claim that the Los Merengues want a Chelsea transfer for Gareth Bale if he’s to leave the club in the summer and that the player favours a move to Old Trafford.
Real Madrid have a very good relationship with the Blues and that would play a big part in any decision over Gareth Bale who could leave the Spaniards in the summer.
Gareth Bale has already stated that he wants to continue his football career with the Champions League holders having joined them in the summer of 2013.
He would be 30 this summer and Real Madrid could decide to cash in on him with age no longer on his side.
Gareth Bale has battled with several injuries since he joined the European champions from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur six years ago.
The Welsh international star won the Champions League title in his first season as he scored to give Real Madrid a 4-1 extra time victory over rivals Atletico Madrid.
He has won three more Champions League titles as well as one La Liga title during his time at Real Madrid.
