West Ham are preparing a bid that will have them secure the signing of two Chelsea players defender Gary Cahill and striker Michy Batshuayi in the winter transfer window.

The Daily Mail reports that the London club are set to submit their bid in coming days for the star players with the West London side ready to accept the right offers for the duo.

Both players are also keen to quit the Stamford Bridge club as they have failed to secure regular playing time as well as not being able to break into the starting eleven.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to add more strength to his team with the Chelsea duo with several first-team players out injured and unavailable for a longer period of time.

The likes of Winston Reid and Fabian Balbuena are currently out injured which forced Pellegrini into playing Angelo Ogbonna alongside Issa Diop.

Gary Cahill is believed to be an experienced player who will help the London club ahead of the second half of the season.

However, there are suggestions that both players will only move on a loan deal with the West London club not ready to part ways with them on a permanent basis.
