Arsenal North London derby hero Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has explained why his Gunners team were able to fly past their rival Tottenham in the Premier League encounter on Sunday.
The former Borussia Dortmund star returned to scoring form as he fires a brace to help his side secure a big win against their North London rivals in the game that ended 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners team have now landed in the top four spot ahead of Tottenham but with goals difference.
However, speaking after the game, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang explained that his side were able to achieve that because they stayed mentally strong for the game.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang revealed that his teammates had spoken to each other after conceding the first goal and that went a long way into helping the team with a big win.
The Gabon international striker who was less bothered about his side’s position in the Premier League table stressed that mission of his side is to keep winning games and continue the unbeaten run which is now counting to 17 games in all competitions.
However, manager Unai Emery has been praised for bringing a new mentality to the Arsenal team. This is in addition to bringing a new system of play which helps the players to be more active.
