Manchester United star player Victor Lindelof has been linked with a move away from the club in recent times after he emerges as a target for Ligue 1 side Lyon.
The French side are keen on bringing the Swedish defender down to France this summer, but it was reported recently that manager Jose Mourinho has told the management at Old Trafford to keep the player.
The red devils signed Victor last summer from Benfica for £31 million, but he, however, struggled to get a regular role during his first campaign at the club. He could only start 13 top flight games as he was made to sit on the bench in most cases by the likes of Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
French news outlet L’Equipe made it known that Lyon are interested in signing the defender before the summer window closes.
It was also added that Jose Mourinho is not going to allow Lindelof to leave the club and is against the idea.
Despite his struggles at Old Trafford last season, Victor was impressive for Sweden in the past World Cup tournament in Russia.
He is yet to return to the camp as he was granted an extended holiday after his country were able to get to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
