Sunday Times football correspondent Jonathan Northcroft has stated that Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho no longer holds the title of the ‘Special One’
Recall that the Portuguese manager gave himself the title during his spell at Chelsea where he won the Premier league back-to-back.
Recent developments and the sour relationship between Mourinho and the media has made him lost his beloved title with Northcroft holding the opinion that the Old Trafford boss is no longer what he used to be.

He also noted that the reason why Mourinho gave himself the title was because of the special results he got in the good old days which is no longer obtainable at the moment, hence, it will be abnormal claiming to be the best manager in the world.
According to him, Mourinho has lost his authority, his agenda and personality, citing an example of most of his press conferences where tried to belittle journalists for asking simple questions.
Meanwhile, Daily Mirror chief football writer John Cross, said he used to be a huge admirer of the United’s boss but cannot be sure about now as Mourinho has lost most qualities that attracted him.
Despite the current challenges, embattled Mourinho is still held in high esteem as one of the best coaches in the world owing to his past records which cannot be taken away from me.
