Mourinho Lead the Race for James Rodriguez
United are in pole position to land Real Madrid player James Rodriguez in the summer as they are reportedly in search of another striker due to Sanchez’s flop.
The Red Devils boss José Mourinho revealed his plans to newsmen in January after completing his move for former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, that there is no need to add a new striker to his team in the summer but he seemed to have rescinded his decision having seen the Chilean striker failed to live up to fans expectations this season.
Real Madrid and Chelsea target James Rodriguez who is on a two-year loan move at the Allianz Arena is being linked to Manchester United as the Portuguese manager hope to find another goal poacher ahead of next season.
Though the Red Devils will have slug it out with Bayern Munich who are reportedly set to sign the player on a permanent deal as they are set to sanction Lewandowski’s switch to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Meanwhile, José Mourinho’s men are through to FA Cup semi-final round after defeating Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at the Theater of dreams on Saturday.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku in the 37th minute and Nemanja Matic in the 83rd minute were enough to see the Red Devils through to the next round where they could face either Tottenham, Bournemouth or Chelsea who defeated Leicester City 2-1 at the King’s stadium in today’s fixture.
