Leicester City’s Demarai Gray is nervous about his first team opportunities at the King Power Stadium, and that has alerted top Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Spurs to his potential availability.
British Tabloid, Mirror is reporting the 21-year-old believes he deserves more playing time at Leicester, under manager Craig Shakespeare after he played for England in the recently concluded Euro U21 tournament.
The Leicester star scored twice for Aidy Boothroyd tutored side as they reached the semi-finals of the age group tournament but started just nine Premier League matches for the former Premier League Champions last season, coming off the bench 21 times.
He played only 14 games in his first season at the King Power Stadium and eventually won the Premier League title, but it still wasn’t enough for the ambitious wonderkid.
Reports widely suggest the youngster doesn’t have a buy-out clause in his contract, but Leicester doesn’t want to let go of the talented striker after buying him for £3.5m in 2016 from Birmingham City.
Gray, if signed by Spurs can provide width, pace, and depth to the squad. He is a goal threat and would boost the already burgeoning English gang already assembled by Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.
