Juventus star Miralem Pjanic has said that he did indeed reject a move to North London outfit Arsenal.
Player name English suitors
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international midfielder answered questions from the Telegraph ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League clash with North London side Tottenham Hotspur and he disclosed all about former offers from England.
The player said he made a choice with his head and if he made that decision not to go to a Premier League team, it was for important reasons.
The midfielder has been one of the League’s standout players over the seasons, impressing for both AS Roma and Serie A champions Juventus. This certainly attracted interest from teams in England, with the player confirming that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs made transfer moves for him.
Key Serie A star
Pjanic, 27, is an important player for the Turin giants and has played a vital role in their attempt to retain the Serie A title. The midfield maestro has played 17 matches in the Serie A and has scored four goals and made seven assists from the midfield.
The Gunners have signed a number of midfielders in recent seasons, yet none of them have truly performed well.
Perhaps Arsenal’s fortunes may have changed if the Emirates club were able to sign Pjanic some time ago.
