Chelsea given boost as Man United make u-turn over £53m move

Chelsea may have received a massive transfer boost as rivals Manchester United have allegedly ended their interest in Bayern midfield maestro Arturo Vidal.

Vidal linked with Man Utd and Chelsea

According to a recent report by the Daily Star, Vidal has been linked with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester United, with Bayern’s valuation believed to be about £53million for the Chilean.

Arturo Vidal seems a good fit for the English Premier League considering his strong and energetic play, hard-tackling nature, though it looks like United boss Jose Mourinho has his reservations about the South American.

Jose set to dump interest

Don Balon claims the former Chelsea manager is now ready to dump his pursuit of the experienced midfielder, though it’s not very clear what has caused him to make this decision.

The Red Devils could surely do with reinforcement in the middle of the park as they face losing both two vital midfielders to retirement and contract exhaustion when the season ends.

Notwithstanding, France international Paul Pogba has not performed well lately and could possibly either do with stiffer competition in that role or with being reunited with his ex Juventus team-mate Vidal, whom he played pretty well with during their time together in Italy.
