According to Italian media reports, Merseyside giants Liverpool are pondering a summer transfer bid to bring in youngster Gianluigi Donnarumma from Serie A side AC Milan.
Liverpool seek reinforcement in goal
As reported by La Repubblica, Liverpool are closely monitoring the 19-year-old’s current situation at Milan as they look to try and reinforce their team ahead of next term.
The Reds could be ready to ramp up their transfer market search for a new shot-stopper this summer window after Loris Karius’ two errors cost Klopp’s team dearly in the UEFA Champions League final against La Liga side Real Madrid.
The same report states that Liverpool are keen on landing the young goalkeeper from San Siro, but the valuation could be a major issue for the beaten finalists.
Price tag could be an issue
The article suggests that the Reds are currently only ready to offer about €40m for the starlet, which would not be enough to lure AC Milan into offloading. The story says that the Serie A club value the safe hand at closer to €70million.
The Reds are likely to be heavily linked with a number of quality players this summer window as they attempt to try and reinforce their team ahead of next term.
They finished the season in fourth position as their attempt to win their first trophy under German boss Jurgen Klopp continues.
