Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil is expected to leave Arsenal next summer, and the German midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United. And considering the latest reports circulating in the media about him, it appears he is bound to reunite with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford when he leaves North London.

Arsenal are understood to be keen on convincing him to put pen on paper for a new deal with them, but the Daily Mail made it known that the Germany international has told his friends that he wants to move to Man United next year and is looking towards earning £300,000 each week with the red devils.

It was added that Mesut is not keen on signing for Barcelona – who are also fighting for his signature.

Ozil will be out of contract at the end of this season and Arsenal are at the danger of losing such a superb player on a free transfer.

This season so far in 13 games for Arsenal, Ozil has scored just twice but has provided five assists to his teammates.

Should Ozil become a Man United player next year, the 29-year-old will replace Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI.

The World Cup winner played under Jose when both were still together at Real Madrid, and they won some trophies together.
