Tottenham Hotspur star player Toby Alderweireld has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times after he emerged as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
The talented defender has been in the news consistently due to his links with the Old Trafford club. However, the latest being said of him do not seem positive for Manchester United.
Toby is no doubt one of the best defenders in Europe and has shown he will add value to whichever club he will play for, either in England or elsewhere.
United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on utilising this summer transfer window to add more quality to his defense department and is said to be determined to secure Toby’s signature.
Due to this, Tottenham are playing hardball and have asked the red devils to bring huge cash if they are to get the player’s signature.
According to ESPN, Jose Mourinho’s side could agree to a deal to sign the player but would have to pay some whopping £70M to secure his services.
It was also added that the red devils were willing to offer £50M and are expecting the North Londoners to agree with their own terms.
Alderweireld is set to leave Tottenham this summer and has refused to sign a new deal with the club to extend his stay in London.
