Manchester United Received Big Injury Boost Following Star’s Return

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is delighted to have Eric Bailly back to action.

He expressed this to MUTV after the 1-1 draw to Everton at the 14th premier league clash this season.

The talented defender got a knee injury against Chelsea at the end of October. It was projected that the center-back won’t return to action until next January, after the African Cup of Nations, but the Ivorian surprisingly made a return to Manchester United’s bench at the game against Everton.

Jose Mourinho, impressed with Bailly’s return, said that even though the defender won’t be available for selection in January, his presence in the team will be very important during the congested festival period later this month.

“We need that, it’s impossible for the same players to play every match and in this moment we are having that because of a lack of available options.“So to have Eric back is good news, even though it is only for a few weeks because we know he goes to the African Cup of Nations very soon [in January], but at least in this busy period of Christmas we have one more option. That’s important.” Mourinho said

Bailly has been one of United’s best players since the beginning of this season, and his return is a major boost for Jose Mourinho side.
