Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he is in the dark as to when midfielder Santi Cazorla will be fully fit and ready for selection for the Gunners.
The Spain international midfielder has not played for the Gunners since sustaining a severe Achilles injury last year October and needing a number of surgeries to correct the problem.
Santi Cazorla’s recuperation has been littered with setbacks and it is still unknown exactly when the midfielder will be fully fit enough to return to action for the North London club.
Arsene Wenger was asked about Santi Cazorla’s injury situation before his side’s trip to Burnley in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and the Arsenal tactician admitted that he is only waiting for an update from Cazorla himself, who has not yet return to full training.
Questioned about Santi Cazorla, Arsene Wenger revealed to a news conference before Sunday’s match: “I [Arsene Wenger] hope to see him [Santi Cazorla] soon, that he [Santi Cazorla] comes over to give an [Wenger] update.”
Arsene Wenger’s side will return to League action on Wednesday when they play Huddersfield Town at The Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have not won the English Premier League since their ‘famous’ unbeaten success back in 2003-04.
