Manchester United are plotting a new bid for Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata according to reports.
The 24-year-old has been a subject of interest from major clubs in Europe since last summer before Real triggered his buy-back clause amid serious interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Roma and Manchester United.
It is understood that Jose Mourinho has prioritised the signing of Morata this summer as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season. United has already seen their first £52 million bid by Real Madrid.
Manchester United believe they can thrash out a deal for Morata this summer despite Real Madrid’s astronomical valuation of the player, with reports that the Champions League winners wanting around £78 million.
Reports in the Guardian claim that Manchester United have mapped out a perfect plan to convince Real Madrid to sell Morata, by paying a smaller transfer fee upfront for the forward, hoping Real club president Florentino Perez will accept a smaller deal.
Morata is understood to be angling for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer due to his reduced role that has seen him making just 26 appearances, netting 15 goals in the process.
Reports have it that Serie A giants, AC Milan have agreed on a summer move for Alvaro Morata and could finalise a move before other rivals in Europe.
