He Snubbed Liverpool, But Won’t Mind Moving To Stamford Bridge

Liverpool and Everton have been trying to lure Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao Premier League in recent times. However, it appears none of them is will get his signature after all….

According to news coming from Italy, the striker is turning down the chance to move to both Merseyside clubs but won’t mind moving to west London to join Chelsea.

An Italian news outlet Il Messaggero (via talkSPORT) claims the Senegalese have turned down offers from both Liverpool and Everton even though he has just little months remaining on his current deal with his Italian side.

In the just concluded Serie A season, Diao surprised almost everyone with his impressive performances and was able to, in 31 Italian top flight games for Lazio, score 16 times and provided three assists.

The report added further that even though he turned down Liverpool and Everton, the Senegal international has not shut the door on a potential move to Chelsea.

Chelsea forward Diego Costa is expected to leave the premier league champions anytime soon and he is linked with joining the Chinese Super League, or making a return back to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

The west London club are understood to be looking for a replacement for departing Costa, and are said to be after the signatures of the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
