Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain might leave the club in the summer despite making a relatively good start to his career at the club.

The Metro claim that the Argentine international will leave Chelsea at the end of this season if Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is sacked.

Italian tactician Sarri is under severe pressure at Chelsea after his team suffered a drubbing at Manchester City.

The Blues suffered their worst defeat in the Premier League era after they were beaten 6-0 by the Citizens with Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain netting a treble.

Three Lions of England star Raheem Sterling also scored twice while Ilkay Gundogan completed those who found the back of the net for the Premier League champions.

The result ensured that Chelsea drop from two places to the sixth spot in the race for Champions League football next season.

Gonzalo Higuain played 90 minutes for Chelsea in that Manchester City game but he was unable to find the back of the net.

The former Napoli and Real Madrid hitman has scored two goals in four appearances since he became a Chelsea player.

Sarri played a major role in his decision to join Chelsea on loan till the summer in January having played under him during the 2015/16 season at Napoli.

Chelsea can sign him permanently for €36m this summer according to his parent club Juventus.
