Arsenal have reportedly completed their second summer signing as newly appointed manager Unai Emery continues to bring in more quality to his team.
Arsenal active in the market
The Gunners have changed their norms in the market this summer window, following the exit of Frenchman Arsene Wenger in May.
The Spanish tactician completed the addition of experienced defender Stephan Lichtsteiner weeks back and the former Sevilla and PSG manager has now brought in another player to the list of fresh recruits.
The North Londoners confirmed yesterday that a transfer deal had been agreed for safe hand Bernd Leno to head to the Emirates from German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
New boss reinforcing squad
The 26-year-old shot stopper’s move to the north London outfit is expected to cost them a fee of about £19million.
The goalie has concluded his medical examination at Arsenal’s London Colney training base and will be signing a five-year deal at the club.
The signing of the German goalie comes after frequent reports that Lucas Torreira of Italian Serie A side Sampdoria is also edging closer to completing a move to Arsenal.
The newly appointed manager is looking to bring in the Uruguay international to strengthen his squad ahead of the forthcoming league season.
