Man United Set to Snatch Arthur Melo Away From Chelsea’s Grip

According to latest reports, premier league heavyweights Man United have joined in the race to sign Arthur Melo when the January transfer window comes.

The Gremio midfielder has been very much impressive at his side, and his performances has caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across Europe this season.

Melo guided his side to the Copa Libertadores final and was recently called up to Brazil’s national squad after showing how good he is on the pitch.

It was made known that the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been scouted by the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona this season, and it is obvious many would have been impressed by his performances.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is determined to sign a creative player, and he has been linked with German midfielder Mesut Ozil for sometime now.

Ozil’s contract at Arsenal expires at the end of this season, and it is understood that the Germany international, who worked under Mourinho back then at Real Madrid, is interested in reuniting with the Portuguese tactician at Old Trafford.

And the Daily Mail made it known that the red devils are interested in signing Arthur and will try snatching him away from the grips of Chelsea and Barcelona.

Signing Melo ahead of 29-year-old Ozil would provide better long-term value, but the arrival of any of them could end the career of either Juan Mata or Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Man United.
