Man United set to pay £44million for first summer recruit

According to reports, Manchester United are set to pay £44million to bring in Elseid Hysaj from Serie A side Napoli this summer transfer window.

United keen on new right-back

The Sun is claiming that Manchester United have made bringing in a new right-back one of their key priorities in the summer, with Matteo Darmian’s Manchester United future at the side in doubt.

As per the same story, the Italian defender is almost sure to sign for Serie A champions Juventus this summer transfer window, and the Red Devils have identified Elseid Hysaj as a replacement.

Man United lead race to sign defender

United could be prepared to make a move to land Hysaj due to his low buyout clause of only £44million.

Hysaj, 24, has been in decent form this campaign and has provided one assist in 34 Italian Serie A matches for Napoli.

United to be linked with several players

Jose Mourinho’s team are likely to be strongly linked with a number of players in the coming weeks as United look to try and build a team capable of winning the English Premier League title next campaign.

Before that, the Red Devils will look to end the campaign on a high by defeating Antonio Conte’s Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday as they attempt to win their third trophy under Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho.
