Three African players have won the Golden Boot Award in the Premier League this season after they scored 22 goals each at the end of the Premier League season.

Mohamed Salah, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sadio Mane all finished on the same goal tally at the end of the season.

The African trio shared the Golden Boot Award at the end of the final set of Premier League games.

Before the final day of the Premier League season, Egyptian international Salah was ahead of the chasing pack after netting 22 goals for Liverpool.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had 20 goals apiece before Sunday’s set of games.

Salah didn’t find the back of the net on the final day while Mane and Aubameyang scored two goals each to move level with the Egyptian at the top of the goalscoring charts.

Senegalese international Sadio Mane scored a brace either side of the halftime interval to lead Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers but it was not enough as the Reds missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City.

Gabonese international player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also scored two goals either side of the halftime interval to give the Gunners a 3-1 win at Burnley which was not enough to seal a Champions League spot.
